Metal Gear Solid 5. MGS5 is actually the first in the series I've actually enjoyed playing. The first one I finished was MGS3, finished it only because of how good the storyline was. MGS2 I quit playing because I hated Raiden. MGS1 I quit playing because I didn't own the game back when I played it, but did enjoy it up to where I got into the game(which wasn't far, just where Ocelot got his arm cut off after the boss fight.)

I do own the Legacy Collection so one day I'll play through the entire series and maybe actually become a fan, but yeah. I don't like the series, just MGS5.

But why would anyone hate Raiden?

I haven't played mgs5 yet so as of now MGS4.

Currently playing

IOS - Knights of the Old Republic, Monster Hunter Freedom HD and Idolmaster Festa.

Steam-NovisNoah, Uplay-Limpanot, Origins-NovisNoah, PSN-NovisNoah, NNID-NovisNoah

Oh and Wright,

MGS2 is one of the worst games I've ever played until I hit the last 2-3 hours, which to it's credit almost made me feel like the torture of playing the game was worth it.....almost

It was the first MGS I played and almost put me off the franchise forever

Snake Eater > Sons of Liberty > Peace Walker > Metal Gear Solid > Rising: Revengeance > Ground Zeroes/The Phantom Pain > Guns of the Patriots > Solid Snake > Metal Gear

Not V, that's pretty much a given.

Which I can respect, but can't understand. I mean, the game is awesome from beginning to end, and the only rocky moment I can think of is the whole E.E. section, which drags too much and it's completely meaningless at the end, save for Snake and Otacon's bro fisting handshake. The gameplay is superb, the enemies are clever (though nowadays you can exploit the AI pretty easily), tons of easter eggs and references only rivalized by MGS3 (Now that I mention it, MGS4 and 5 kinda dropped this, hard), awesome story and some really memorable sequences, like taking down twenty Metal Gears.

I bet Fatman owned your ass and that's why you have such sour memory of the game.

I guess because he replaced Snake.

Well he did make me fall off my couch at first, because I had never seen anything quite so ridiculous as a fat terrorist on roller blades, but that was about the extent of the ownage lol

The gameplay to me was terribly awkward, which made the fairly responsive enemies more of a pain than a rewarding challenge, Raider was an annoying loser, the pacing was terrible, the plot was convoluted as fuck and made no sense until the very end, and some of those "awesome memorable sequences" to me are memorable for the wrong reasons.

For example, taking down 20 Metal Gears in like 10 minutes.....sure, sounds awesome in theory, I certainly remember it. But I remember it because as the game that introduced me to MGS, all I could think was "Wow these Metal Gears are a total joke." One guy with a rocket launcher takes out 20 like they're nothing? Why would anybody ever be worried about these things?

Best: Metal Gear Solid 3
Worst: Metal Gear Solid V
