It's Silver Week, which is a holiday in Japan. More family-friendly games got a notable boost (Splatoon, Minecraft, Yokai, Animal Crossing).

The new games this week are relatively niche, so they aren't big enough to get in the way of these games.

Why on earth did NSMBU chart when there's a NSMBU+NSLU double pack coming?

Splatoon is otherworldly. Good holds for MGSV and SMM. I guess Splatoon will reach 1m this year in Japan by the looks of things. O.o

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I was under the impression that the double pack would be worldwide.

Then again, it's better as a hardware bundle with Super Mario Maker since Nintendo refuses to drop the price.
