Forums - PC Discussion - Should Valve add an achievement scoring system like xbox/playstation?

Should they?

Yes 12 57.14%

No 6 28.57%

I don't care 3 14.29%

Total:21

Pretty much what the title says, something like gamerscore or trophies. Some of the games have achivements but theres no scoring type of thing going on. Theres % and achivement show case. I think they should add something like gamerscore. What do you think?

Yes, or that achievements at least gave you experience towards your Steam level.

Oh thats actually a great idea.

this doesnt work, it would frustrate alot of people if they try and balance the points.

I added a poll. I don't know why it didn't work the first time :P

I feel like it would be cool if getting achievements or maybe getting 100% of them in a game gave you XP towards your Steam level similar to how crafting badges does.

edit: Basically what Shakarak said.

Would be a good idea and a win/win for valve as achievement hunters would love it and those who are not bothered about achievements will just carry on and not care.

It's better for Valve if they didn't. People might actually play their games.

Would like that. But I think more important would be a way to just view all of your achievements. Sort them by date won, rarity and stuff like that. Look at the ones you don't have to see which ones would be easy. And of course all of this in one place rather than having to go to each individual game with achievements and sort through it.

good idea, but it doesnt work. its just a mess if you mix in all achievments from 100 games.  and difficulty is very fluctuating. some games have impossible achievments, others have realy easy ones.

Yes, I also think Nintendo really needs to embrace this feature for the NX.
