Nice classic, but it's a typical PS1 -> PC port with barely any options. 640x480 is the only resolution and the D-Pad of my controller doesn't work. There are probably workarounds, but it's sad that it's not included like in other re-releases of classic games.


Oh, and don't forget the free Red Alert 2 if you're an Origin user. It's one of my favourite RTS games and the soundtrack is amazing.

Wait, I thought Nintendo fans knew all about visuals not being a factor when you have a great game, what happened? :P

It's not about the visuals, I think they wouldn't even change at higher resolutions because the backgrounds are pre-rendered.

My monitor changes into 640x480 mode, that isn't optimal for modern LCDs. And it automatically stretches it to 16:9, so I'd have to adjust the borders myself in the monitor settings...

The problem is, it's all pre-rendered 320x240 backgrounds. So there's really not a lot they can do to boost resolution. All you'd have are ludicrously high resolution characters on incredibly pixellated backgrounds.
