Isn't Skyrim like 40 square km and xcx is 400 square km, so xcx is bigger than skyrim.

Both Skyrim and XCX take under 30 minutes to run from one end of the map to the other, skyrim is mostly land, xcx is mostly water.

thus, usable map size of skyrim is bigger, and the "400 square km" "and 10x the size of skyrim" stuff is clearly bullshit.

Isn't running waaaaay faster in X? Not to mention that the map isn't a square or even close, so measuring the run from one end to the other is certainly not enough to get a good idea of the actual size.

Not a great deal faster, no, and the map not being square means that you have to run around the curve of the island, which increases how long it takes to run it, it doesnt make the map any bigger, because the reason for that curve is a vast area that is water only, and 99% of water areas have no interactable elements, enemies or anything like that, too.

As i mentioned in an earlier post, the map is inflated on XCX, the actual detailing, structure and so on is pretty poor, and as you play it, areas just feel small, and when you finally get a doll so you arent forced to endure the enflated environment, it becomes even clearer that the map isnt that complex or large at all.
