Forums - Sony Discussion - Huge Retro Sale on PSN EU Right Now

As the title suggests, EU psn getting some much needed love with a retro sale of titles across the PS3, PSP and Vita.

I didn't get to dig too much into it yet myself but if there was any older psone games you were considering like Suikoden 1/2, Crash Bandicoot (whole series and racer) or CastleVania SOTN now is definitely a time to pick up some classics cheaply.

EU love from PSN!

Edit - Seriously... there is 123 reductions for vita playable games, Sony has no respect for my wallet.

So this sale is pretty good and hopefully people who are interested in these games will get the ones they want for cheap. After going through all the titles, I noticed that I've already bought all the ones I'm interested in anyway. But I'm glad we're getting some good sales, because some EU ones tend to be terrible.

Cheers for the link, will be buying some PS1 games for sure

The sooner they get PS1 classics working on PS4 the better. I've long since stopped buying games for PS3.

Hmm, pie.

I don't even think it's that the EU sales are bad... just sometimes Sony are very weak with updating the storefront to let people know there is a sale going on, there was a Rayman sale on about 2-3 weeks ago and I said I would wait until it was actually put together into one area rather than going through all the platforms and finding which games were effected by it.... but that never happened so I ended up not getting the Legends game on the Vita since I forgot about having just stumbled across it til it was too late. They really need to get on updating stuff like the livearea portions of the store to show off all the sales which go on.

As for the sale items I just had a glance over the last night but could definitely see myself getting Crash 3 and maybe the 2 psp god of war games, will have to check reviews but GoW is a series I really want to take a look into since there is so much of it out there and I've never played one for more than a few mins (which I liked up until a QTE sex scene.... was playing it with my wife on the couch so that was weird... funny more than anything but yeah said I'd leave it off for a while)

Yeah agree with this, could be worth considering tho that it could be just around the corner and Sony are pretty decent about giving you updated licenses for versions you already owned, say I got a good few psone games which I bought a couple of years before the Vita appeared, but now have the vita versions of stuff like FF7/8/9 without shelling out again.

Would be great if they do the same for ps4 versions of psone games for their loyal fans who've been buying psn content for years.

Consider as well there may be a fair few people who never owned a PS3, PSP or Vita that moved from Xbox or Nintendo but now own a PS4 and would like to try some of these games that people say are true classics. It's just missing out on extra money... unless it really would cost them too much to do it. It's not like the PS Now thing is an excuse here, emulation can handle it.

of the 3 patapon games I've heard that the 2nd one is meant to be the most content and the most love... not sure.... or will I buy all 3, I definitely wanna get one of them, already got Locoroco2 that game is beautiful looking on the Vita screen and so much happy in a single game.

Yeah indeed, for people who are just discovering playstation now there is some games on psn store that are just .... well perfect imo, Crash 2, every final fantasy up to X-2 is there for the Vita from the Store I mean... so many generations of gaming. Some parts are slightly lost now tho to time... I mean I recall when I first played GTA3 seeing a GTA world in 3d being able to run around and cause mayhem up close and personal was just technically a fantastic achievement... today GTA3 on the ps2 anyway looks a right blurry mess, definitely need to vasiline up your TV if you wanna see it like it looked back in 2001 to gamers... 14 years ago (christ I feel old)

What was the psone... 33mhz? :D I'm fairly sure the ps4 cpu could emulate that while it's powered off lol, prolly takes more processing power to run the LED's on the front of the system.
