Yeah,  the PS4 should support Vulkan. Or at least it could fairly easily it seems.

I'm quite sure Sony won't support Vulkan on PS4 . For the simple reason that it doesn't need it. GNM, the close to the metal PS4 API, is at a much lower level. But nothing is going to stop Vulkan to make its own port on PS4 and XB1, if they wish so. So it may happen as a third party API.

Sony and MS could provide wrappers or compatibility layers for Vulkan. Native Vulkan is a different story as it would have access to the device like the corresponding current APIs which I doubt will happen.

Yeah, I meant something like that. Basically replacing (in the games) the higher level GNMX I suppose. I am not very skilled in graphical API. I just wanted to say that from what I've read Sony isn't interested on making Vulkan official for PS4.

vulkan is not a good idea for ps4. You don't want to be easier for devs to develop on other platforms when you are the lead platform. You want it to be as hard as it can be so games are good only on playstation and play like shit on pc and xbox and you dominate the world!

Lol can you please name a game so far been good on ps4 and been shit on pc and Xbox ?

First of all, i am a mainly a pc gamer, so don't take my words as if i want pc versions to be bad. I am sorry if my english is not always good and sometimes i can't make entirely clear what i mean, it's not my first language. What i mean is, from sony's point of view, why should they care about making multiplatform games easier to make? It's not like you don't take a huge loss when you decide to not support ps4. so devs will care anyway for ps4 versions.

Strategically, it's the same apple does with ios. I hope you understood what i mean now.
