You sound genuinely angry. What's that all about?

It's like the same kind of angry you feel when you hear about people camping out at stores all night to save literally 50 dollars on a tv. When you hear about people not having the common sense to realize that their time is more precious than saving 50 dollars. In fact, they're not even saving, they're spending. To hear about these kinds of failures in thought processes just gets me wondering why on earth are people so short sighted. It's unbelievable.

Are you actually fucking kidding me? You literally made a thread while waiting all night in front of a store for a freaking Amiibo figure.

Also special themed consoles/handhelds have been a thing for ages now and yes people buy them, you can ask around here, you will find several people with special themed consoles/handhelds

one caviot that i left out of my rant that i knew i should have mentioned (because i knew this would come up) is that if youre a collector. if you collect limited edition PS4 consoles, then i would completely see the reason why somebody would want a limited edition console or would stand in line for something like that. and yes, i know people have limited edition consoles, but this is a freaking call of duty console. this is like the lowest of the low.

in truth.. me and my friend showed up there 4 hours before opening to make sure we were first. and im telling you.. the people who wait in line for these things are the biggest fucking losers i have ever seen in my life, so i firmly stand beside everything i said.

So essentially what you are saying here is that your situation was "different" than theirs and thus makes it ok.

I am sure that hypocrisy will get you far.

i understand things from a collector's standpoint. thats how i understand it. i mean, there really is no other way for me to say it. your opinions dont hurt me, just like mine shouldnt hurt you. lol.

i said earlier that purchasing habits inform you of somebody's character, and im well aware that my collection of 45 or something amiibos informs somebody of my character. do i give a shit? well.. you should already know the answer to that. somebody who gets suckered into buying a limited edition console of a game that is going to be irrelevant once this year passes is.. well just a weak minded individual (in my opinion)

look at us, we spend a bunch of time on a forum. what kind of opinions do you think people would have of us if they actually knew what we spend a lot of our time doing here lol

So you can't understand the idea that someone might like and enjoy collecting CoD items enough to buy this console... but you understand things from a "collector's standpoint".... right.

dude, i said that in the very post you quoted lol. if somebody collects ps4 consoles, whether they be COD consoles or just any LE console, i could understand that more than the guy who got suckered into it thinking it was going to be a good idea or even a good deal (which it certainly isnt).

Why in the hell are all the special edition PS4s so god damned hideous?! The MGS console looked incredible, but AFAIK that never released in the states.

So basically your point boils down to one of the currently biggest franchises in gaming not being good enough to have collectors or simply people that want to have a console themed after their favourite series?

Also you can try this now if you want but even if you "only" appeared 4 hours before the store opening to be the first in line for a freaking Amiibo figure you are still not above those people that were there even earlier, you all appeared hours early at a store to buy toys for yourself, there's no cool way of doing that.

How is it not a good deal?

PS4: $400

CoD: $60

Terrabyte HD (and the knowhow to install it): $50? (not looking it up, might be more)

Total: ~510

CoD Bundle: $449

If I bought CoD, and didn't have a PS4, and planned on getting one for this game, buying this bundle saves me money.  Pretty good deal right there.  If I don't care about the look of the console, still a good deal.  If I am a CoD (or your much less likely PS4) collector, even better.

Well the good thing about common sense is you don't have to buy another PS4 to play COD 2016. Lol

RubberWhistleHistle said:

Go buy your call of duty console then lol. Have a blast with it! You're absolutely right that it is your right/choice to buy anything you want for any reason in the world. But it is also my right to look at it and come to whatever conclusion I do about what kind of person it says you are.

You are completely free to do that, just know that you making conclusions on what kind of person people are based on which type of PS4 they buy says a lot more about you than someone buying a themed PS4 says about them.

it wasnt "just for an amiibo" it was for like 8 of them. if somebody showed up four hours early for one amiibo then i would wonder why they wouldnt just buy it online.

All you are doing here is attempting to justify why you do the exact same thing for your item of preference that you condemn others for with their item of preference.  Sad really.
