Since many on this site are expecting WiiU to be down YoY this holiday, I thought will be fun to ask: do you think the PS3 and 360 will beat the WiiU this holiday? 360 and PS3 are down more significantly than WiiU year-to-date and are often behind WiiU in weekly sales.

Given the similarity in specs and price point, and the 360/PS3's strength in the last several years, I've figured there's substantially large market segment of consumers (laggards) who want to buy a console, a few controllers, and games -- but not go much over $200 - $300. I don't think X1 or PS4 are quite in that threshold yet - but it seems the interest in 360 and PS3 has died off substantially - leaving a gap in this consumer sector.

Could it mean there's an unexpected boost for the WiiU in play? Or will 360/PS3 surge back ahead in the holiday? Or will Sony/MS make unprecedented price cuts to PS4/X1 to make sure they compete on that price point? 

I think Wii U should, but it won't be by a huge margin by any means.

They're really pushing PS4 and XOne so the other sales are definitely dwindling at a faster pace. I rarely even see advertisements for those systems anymore.

One might think that's an easy win for Wii U.

Wii U should win easily. However it will be far behind the current gen competition (PS4/X1).

Wii U >>>> PS3 >> 360.

Hard battle. Crows will be served.

I'll guess that the Wii U will win.. but who knows, as we don't have numbers anymore

Whole year Wii U is selling much better than PS3/Xbox360, I don't see why in holiday would be different.

WiiU first, because late buyers of Splatoon and Mario Maker will make it so. Then the PS3, because it still getting a decent amount of hyped support (Persona 4), and then the 360.
