I doubt it's gonna stay Vita exculsive when it comes to the west. a PS4 port is inevitable.

Digimon games are coming to the West, with the new anime next year, it is inevitable. The question is: will it come to the West as a Vita game, or as a PS4 game?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

The recent Digimon game got a PS4 port announced as a part of the localization announcement. The same will happen with this game, it'll be digital only on Vita, and get a physical release on PS4.

If they release in both PS3 and PS4, the Digimon games will sell well. The anime will make younger people interested in the franchise and the older fans will get them for nostalgia. I would love if they release Re:Digitize Decode for the 3DS and if they localise that Digimon Adventure PSP game too (never brought to the West for some reason, bring it to any current gen platform and it will sell).

I doubt they'll bring it to the PS3. Just think about it, this won't make it to the west before likeearly 2017 or something like that. By that time the PS4 will have sold, what? 50 million? No need to have a PS3 port then, especially considering how the PS3 port would cost more than the PS4 port due to the pain in the ass architecture.

Yeah, it'll be PS4 and Vita. Just like the other Digimon game.

it probably depends on how well Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth will do on each platform, but you are right!! sounds smart to release a game very similar to Digimon World 1 based on the first Digimon, along with the Digimon Tri movies, which are definitely coming to the West since there is an english website

chances seem low for the 3DS and PSP games to get localized :/

and it's pathetic to think that the fighting spin-off game got localized and the main ones didn't

That looks incredible, would love to see it come to the West, Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon looked cut right from the anime.

Actually the new anime has low chances to ever get to the younger audience. 6 x 90 minutes movies released direct-to-dvd isn't the best for that part at least.

I'd love re digitize decode but bamco has never done it before IIRC (starts localizing a franchise at some installment then remember there were previous installments the west might like), and the west didn't miss much with adventure IMO (pure fanservice game, meh gameplay and no real bonus story-wise compared to the original anime).

OT : The graphics looks great. The back and forth between Digimon and Mamoru Hosoda is fun too (Lots of stuff in summer wars that reminds people hosoda started with digimon, and now lots of design choices in the digimon trailers that reminds me of summer wars).
