PS3 sold approximately 25 ish million in the US. PS4 will sell at least a good 10 million more than that, if not more, thanks to COD marketing, among other big partnerships this gen. Step #3. Sony is treating Asia as it's next big territory as evidenced at last week's tgs. Many big games are being translated and sold in various Asian countries this time Sony announced such as China, Korea, and others. This didn't happen last gen. So that 80 million number in my opinion is a huge insult to ps4. |
I agree with you, BUT ! there is more mobile/tablet for gaming, i know my mums who played a little on my ps2-ps3, now play on her galaxie S4 and not need more, you can see this with japan who more advanced on mobile market, a other note, in europe, older ppl usually move from console to PC gaming, like me in ps2 era i was playing like 90% console 10% pc, now its more like 80% pc and 20% console.. and some of my friend have moved to 100% PC.
A other note, since microsoft lose, they probably launch Xbox2 earlier if they stay in console market, so forcing sony to launch too early and they will lose ps4 sale.
At end i think this will hit around 85-100m at max.
