Yes unfortunately
Disturbing and all kinds of fucked up but sadly Saudi Arabia can do whatever they want as long as the world is dependant on their oil. They could flay children and put their heads on poles if they wanted to, and they'd only get an angry letter or two in response.
Seems very reasonable, yay different and not inferior cultures
