I still think the WiiU will past the Vita in the end.

I don't think Vita is dying, its just become niche platform. Sony will probably produce the Vita for the life of the PS4, assuming they have no plans to launch a new handheld platform.

Its still selling a few million units a year with no significant marketing, it has room for price cuts, and they can keep supporting with cheap ports. Basically, I get the impression it does well enough to not kill.

It is really up to what Sony decides to do with Vita. If they bring PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Music, and PlayStation Video streaming to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV, then sales will pick up quite a bit. Then, if the ooVoo update ever comes, and Video, Voice, and Text messaging to any connected device or landline is a reality, then the sales will make a huge leap. Finally, if they come out with a 4G model, then, PS4 itself may have to start looking over its shoulder.

Vita has many options to leap forward in sales, and is just outside of a market where the big boys can sell more than 50M units in a quarter. WiiU, has no awnser to the versatility of PS4 & XBO, or ever something like Amazon Fire, Chromecast, or the new Apple TV.

I am going to say Vita wins this war, and in the end it won't be close.

Hmmmm.... Let me guess how the Vita is supported = shit.  Nintendo will surpass that Vita with SMM. Sony let Vita to die even though they could have done better.

SMM isnt just magically going to make the Wii U sell another 3million in hardware over night, to catch up to the Vita.

Most people expect the NX to come out in 2016, and the Wii U life time sales to be under 15million.

Theres a good chance the Vita ends up selling more than that.

Yes that is excactly what I am saying.  What the fuck does the Vita have?  Nothing.  If the Wii U can't outsell the Vita by the end of April 2016 then i will gladly bow down.

Say what? Vita support is shit? You have no idea what you're talking about. I know that Sony hasn't been supporting the console for a year now, but it hasn't changed a thing, Wii U still can't catch up! You know why? Cause Vita has strong 3rd party support - but I guess Nintendo fans have no idea what that is :P There are many, many great and exciting games coming to Vita and it is very safe to say that 3rd parties will stay with Vita longer than Nintendo is going to stay with Wii U. And without Nintendo, Wii U has absolutely nothing.

Vita gets a constant stream of very good games. We get new games every single week. Do you really think I care if the next great Vita game is made by Sony or somebody else? Out of 18 retail games I own, only 3 are made by Sony! Just now and in the upcoming months I have to buy Danganronpa: Another Episode, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, Trails of Cold Steel, Warhammer 40k: Space Hulk and a handful other games. I'm also waiting for Digimon. And TGS is coming. And all the indies, and aaagh!!! My poor wallet :(

And what if the rumours about Civilisation Revolution 2, X-com and Assassin's Creed do materialize? And let's not forget about World of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Minecraft: Story Mode...

Wii U will lose this fight, because it will be killed swiftly very soon, while Vita will keep on selling for years. Thing won't even be close in the very end.
