- According to GKF Chart-Track, PS4 dominated Metal Gear Solid 5 sales in the UK, to the surprise of many

- PS4 is claimed to have procured 72% of sales against 22% for Xbone

- On last gen system, PS3 had a small advantage with 3% of total sales from the videogame against a 2% for the Xbox360.

Also shows MGS should have stayed exclusive to the Playstation.If that 22% were not willing to buy the PS4 to play MGS5,then they don't really want the game anyway.

MGS is a ps game even when its a multiplatform release. ps4 will take most of the benefit from it.

UK is like 1.4:1 ratio... something like 2.1m vs 1.6m.

MGSV ratio is 3.1:1.

out of interest, is MGS1 available on Xbox systems now? I know that 2/3/peacewalker are on the HD collection, but I'm not sure was there ever an XBLA port of the first MGS game, would explain why the series is less popular on that platform.

Oh, alright thanks. I guess MGS is just synonymous with Playstation. I know when I think of the series, I think of Playstation.

I think the reason the MGS franchise isn't as popular on Xbox is because it was a PS exclusive (for the most part) for more than a decade. I think we'll see similar sales disparities with KH and FF for the same reasons. That, and Japanse games don't do as well in the US as they use to.
