I personally don't mind DLC a whole lot, but I feel like the price can be outrageous for the content you get at times.

This.

I don't mind it but I get annoyed when devs start talking about the DLC before the game has even come out.

Story Expansions are fine as long as they are longer than 10+ hours personally. Maps, Skins and extra items are not fine with me especially if they are released the day the game comes out.

I dont like announcement of DLC before game is out or day one DLC, dont like DLC that is essentially ripped from game itself and its selling separately like DLC.

I see Mario Kart DLCs like very good example of great DLC.

some are great.

infamous first light was awesome. undead nightmare was epic. DLC's like those two are great, they give more content, let use explore the characters more and just let you play more of games you like for a relatively cheap price. and sometimes they add some interesting twists like undead nightmare.

im also ok with map packs, even thought i just bought one or two in my life for CoD. but they offer more content for you to play, and its your choice to buy them or not.

Dead Space 3 DLC or evolve is just fucked up though.

Don't personally buy DLC unless they are part of a collection. I don't mind properly DLC packs with new story. maps etc as long as it's value for money.

Superficial DLC or buying in game gold with real world money is just stupid.

Hmm, pie.

I dont mind because I rarely buy dlc and so far, the games that i have played dont feel gimped.

DLC simply should have value.
League of Legends I think handles it the best with alternate outfits. Some of them are really great, but I think they are a bit overpriced.

It really depends on the game, honestly.
I mean, I love fallout, but I won't find myself buying any dlc for it unless it is expansion content, which isn't really "dlc-esque".
But on the other hand, I will buy a compendium for dota 2, or a skin for league, or themes for ps4, or new characters, or maybe a sims-style dlc that has like 100 kinds of wallpapers, walls, doors, and windows.

But like, if fallout had a dlc that was like "cap-rail gun" or a harley, I would probably pass. Well, maybe I'd get the harley, but only if there was other actual transportation, like a horse or a car. I hate when dlc is "pay to win" or "pay to simplify"... I like "pay for options"

With DLC it is based on the execution. There are some good DLC values (Super Luigi U) and some bad one (horse armor).

I am against all preorder DLC. People being rewarded for comitting to buy without the benefit of reviews, word of mouth, and other information is not good for the industry.
