ehm, why are we impressed by MGS V numbers?
170k for all four platform combined is not really impressive to me.

I never thought that The Witcher (a game that does not really have a history on consoles) sells more than MGS V.

A 72% share for the PS4 version of the game is awesome .

According to GAF the PS4 version of MGS5 sold more during week 1 than MGS, MGS3 and MGS4, also just 1686 less than MGS2

There's a reasonable amount of conjecture in that 212K post on neogaf. So I would say 212K is far from a definitive number, it's not like an official source stated it outright. And it certainly is no basis on which VGC should update its own numbers, it's not like that number comes from as reliable a source as NPD hardware for the USA. But even if 212K is close to correct, that's not such a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. A massive difference is a game selling 500K and VGC only saying 100K, that would be a joke. 166K is in the same ball park as 212K, and that's OK considering what we know about the inherent inaccuracy of software estimates being even greater than the inherent inaccuracy of the hardware estimates.

So, a good start for MGS in the UK. I'm actually impressed that the Xb one version of MGS outsold the PS4 version of Mad Max. With only 22% of the sales for MGS, and for argument's sake <212K for MGS total, that's <46K for the XB one version of MGS, which means Mad Max made still made a good.

Relatively small drop for Until Dawn, which bodes well for its legs. If the <212K holds true then this means the floor for week 2 for Until Dawn is ~6K (PS3 should be someting below 6.4K). But that extrapolation is getting very inaccurate.

Gears drop was pretty standard, so it should drop off along the lines of most games.

Edit: Walsufnir says From GAF: MGS V - 169,880 (95%). So that makes caluculations a bit easier. PS3 version is 5096. Undil dawn is > than that. Xb one version of MGS is 37.4K to Mad Max PS4 is <37.4K. And between 37.4K and 5.096K is Madmax PS4, Mad Max Xb one, Gears and Until Dawn. The 360 version of MGSV is at 3.4K so that means DI 3.0 360, Minecraft PS4 and Arkham KNight PS4 are between 5.096 and 3.4K

The question is when does this start effecting the Xbox One ?

If some 3rd parties are selling upwards of 80% of their sales on 1 platform..... What incentive do they have to actually make it available other places?

Actually, I think for most of the fans it's the console history that mattered. For example; I have a PC that utterly blows my PS4 out of the water, but it felt like blasphemy even considering Metal Gear for anything but PlayStation. Luckily, ALL the machines got a really good version of MGS5 so no one machine got screwed.
