Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IGN gives Devils Third a 3.5

3.5? That's rather generous.

I expected a lower score, tbh.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

"Decade old gameplay".... to me, that is more of a plus than a negative.

Remember reviewers are right when they give Mario kart and smash bros and 3d Mario (both galaxy games got 10/10) super high numbers. But they're dead wrong when they give low numbers

some reviwers are just idiots, like the too much water guys, or the people that gave bayonetta 2 7,5 because its sexist to show a strong women who likes to be sexy.

The only people I consider idiots are the ones who don't bother reading the review and accept what everyone else tells them (not saying this applies to you, since obviously I don't know if you've read the review). I read the review and that comment, that has been made fun of to death, made perfect sense. Some water here and there is a nice chance of pace, but a world with water everywhere makes moving around way too tedious. Also, it was a woman who wrote that review.

And of course there are some idiotic reviewers. The one who wrote the review for Until Dawn comes to mind, since he didn't like the genre, didn't know what a slasher movie is and the whole premise of the game went over his head. There is opinion and uninformed opinion. The "too much water" comment was fine, the "the voice acting is bad", was not.

From gameplay-wise it plays like Resident Evil 4, but much faster.

Utterly pathetic that some people still don't want to accept that this is trash. We get it, it's a Wii U exclusive and you wanted it to be good since it was announced as such, so now you have to defend it till the end of days.

I wasn't going to say this, but I do agree with it. If anyone has an interest in the game's premise, and a PC (toaster or otherwise), I highly recommend Shadow Warrior Classic Redux on Steam. It's FP only, but it's a blast. It also supports XInput controllers (Xbox 360/Xbox 1/Dualshock 4), IIRC.

Currently (Re-)Playing: Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void Multiplayer, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Currently Watching: The Shield, Stein's;Gate, Narcos

Well, I am currently playing MGS2... which is a game that today, gamers and press would murder because of it's "decade old gameplay" but I still love it.

you mean because all big E-sport games try to have 10 year old gameplay? the changes in starcraft2 and CS:go arent that big, an fps got worse in the last 15 years... the critic is just BAD, if it would play like quake or UT, 10-15 year old games it would be th highest scoring fps this gen...

Oh my, that's such a lovely score!
