Forums - Gaming Discussion - *TOLD YOU SO* 2015 is the year of 8th GEN

this year is pretty sweet. lots and lots of great games. not sure why people are saying its lack luster, is it because third party games dont count?

This gen seems boring as heck, but that's just from observation since I cant afford a console anyways

The good stuff is coming but it's still fairly lackluster. The ability to play my old Xbox 360 games is what got my blood flowing most this gen.

I'll leave it at that.

Witcher 3, mgs 5, bloodborn, dragon age inquisition  ,uncharted 4, ff 15 and ff7 remake, kingdom hearths, deus ex, horizon , mass effect 4, gears 4, star wars, zeldaU etc is lackluster and the only thing that made your blood boil so far is that, i think you should sell your current gen consoles and play on your 360 or quit gaming and find a new hobby because you will never be satisfied.

Half the stuff you named isn't out yet.

Um.

That doesn't even make sense. You can't judge something unbiased without trying it out.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

8th gen starts with Uncharted 4.

Apparently not.

Games are coming out on all three consoles with the 3ds also getting great support. Constant games in the 80s and 90s with decent 70s games in the mix as well and still people complain.

What do they want straight 100 scored games?

poor phrasing on my part.  the good stuff is coming but so far this gen is still fairly lackluster.

i did say, in some random thread, that until dawn and a handful of others (from what i own, ryse, the order, arkham knight) do feel "next gen"  (or current gen!).  i'm not all negative.  and feature wise, all three consoles are great.  i just want games to match the hardware.  gonna start playing phantom pain on sunday.  it's cross gen but it should deliver.

It will be next year like were getting Zelda UC4 scalebound and a shit ton of more games.

Scalebound isn't really on Zelda's or UC's level though

I can, for example, observe that E3 this year was underwhelming outside Mincraft Glasses, or notice that nothing particularly exiting has happened that makes me feel like I really want to own any of these, outside handhelds.

You forgot to add Xenoblade X to that list
