It's not supposed to filter the front page though. The front page is not part of the forum ( Gamrconnect)!

Thats pretty sucky, just another bug that needs to be added to the list. You could bring it up in TruckOSaurus' thread where he is building a list of things to fix when he gets back from his small time away.

I don't use the forum tools either, only the front page. I agree with you but really the only thing to do is ignore stuff not related with gaming. Besides lately there hasn't been too many important gaming news so it's understandable... heck not even the sales numbers are up to date
