Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which Console Should You Buy This Holiday? 2015 Edition

to be honest, anyone looking at Wii U should really look into if they can wait until E3, where we'll know if the NX if backwards compatible.

On whether you should get an PS4 or Xbone. I find Microsoft line up more attractive. Especially killed any Sony hype after I played some Rachet and Clank and figured out they aren't as good as I thought.

Good video as usual!

Which one did you play??

I think im good with my Wii U and 3DS thank you ^_^

The Xbox One has fourth quarter on lock. Sony fans will never admit it though.

Non for me. Between me and my wife we have PS4, WiiU and 3ds. No time for Xbox one though off course I would love one. Feeling me some halo MCC and that zombie game that was on 360 can't remember its name. (Not dead rising) think it was XBLA.

It has indeed, but it's questionable how much its actually going to matter in the long run, it has quite a gap to bridge just to pull even on monthly sales and while the forth quarter offerings are indeed excellent, i believe wholeheartedly that we'll enter 2016 with the xbox still at least 10m behind overall, probably more.

Its performance through 2016 where all of the major PS4 releases have been pushed to is an issue too since any ground they do pull back this holiday will likely be lost and then some next year.

Playstation 4. Sony's just got things on lock down this gen.

Buying a console which is 4-5 year commitment just based on the immediate fall lineup is kind silly too IMO. It's more about which system is going to have the best library over the next 36-48 months, not just the next two.

The Wii U is a disappointment for me and the PS4 and X1 are even worse. I'd say build yourself a decent gaming pc and play the current gen of games the way they're meant to be played - at 60+ fps. If you can't afford that then wait until you can, you'll save in the long run with free online and cheap games anyway.

What?

Sony will win Europe and Japan easily, like always, and will win worldwide.

Even if you're only talking about US (it's still funny when people do that ^^), you can't tell anything without knowing the bundles and prices. Don't underestimate the Star Wars, Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty PS4 bundles. They will sell a lot. Last year, the One won thanks to the cheap CoD bundle (at least in part). This year, it's on the other side...

OT : No console for me this year, only games for my PS4 and Vita. I may buy a Wii U someday, or upgrade my computer, we'll see.

None. As I already have a PS4.

But if someone wants to by me one, then I'll choose Xbox One.
