That will be determined when reviewers get their hands on it.

I hope its a good game and will get great review points

I'm sure it will. They fixed everything wrong with 5. But you can't just say DC is the much better game without Forza 6 being out.

Did I just get high fives, twice!?!

Anyway, this thread is exactly what I expected. Haven't even watched the video yet. Doubt I'll ever play either game but for those who like racing in the rain, more power to them.

And the rain effect in Zelda: Link to the Past blows both of them away. You guys just aren't savvy enough to appreciate the technology going on in the background of that game.

60fps>30fps in racing games.
That said, neither Drive CLub nor Forza Horizon 2 feel or play actually bad. Just not as fluid as a 60fps racing game.

Does Drive Club and especially it's weather look better? Yes.

I'd clearly prefer 60fps over eyecandy though.

That said, Forza 6 should get rain for every track.

Rain for every track doesn't make much sense since it hardly ever rains at Yas Marina, Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway and for the three fictional tracks the only one where rain would have made sense is Prague.

Hm, Forza 6 looks decent but Driveclub looks miles better.

Well you would hope so at half the frame rate. But at some point you just play the game and stop paying attention to visual nuances.

I would like Forza to have the attention to detail as Driveclub, but 60 fps has more impact on gameplay.

Even at 30 fps Forza still wouldn't look as good as DC. The X1 has inferior HW we know this lets move on please.

But would Driveclub look as good trying to be locked at 60?

Finally got a chance to play the Forza 6 demo. Man that Brickyard F1 race is insane!

Racing in the rain in Forza is no joke. It impacts your handling to a much higher degree than in DC, which I guess should be a given considering DC is an arcade racer and Forza a sim. Just hitting a puddle in the game can send you careening off the track. It's awesome. Here is me first making a Gran Turismo style bumper car pass as I underestimate how far you slide on the wet track, followed by me later almost spinning out via water puddle:

Visually I would give the effects edge to DC, which again is a given considering many reasons already discussed, most important being hardware and gearing towards visuals versus frame rate. In terms of actual gameplay though, Forza rain effects win by a mile versus what I remember of DC before I sold it. The rain effects were gorgeous, but the gameplay impact not so much.

I would give it a lot more than an edge. Watching that after playing DC for an hour it looks a gen apart.

The puddles affecting your car is cool though, however regaining control and steering back to the track on the wet grass, not very realistic, nor are the collisions.  DC's handling is only marginally impacted based on how much water is on the track, the bigger burden is on your memory when visibility reaches near zero while driving behind all the spray. Project cars goes the other way, visibility remains very good while driving in wet quickly becomes a nightmare. I have to check back to that though, last time I played PC the AI was still largely unaffected by rain while your car would constantly spin out trying to follow their path.

Every assist is on in Forza by default, all I changed is the braking assist ;)

We can just agree to disagree on the rain looking a generation apart. Especially when in DC its effect on gameplay is minimal at best.

forza will never compete with dc graphic, but you have to admit dc is a 30 fps game, while forza is 60fps.

All over in my opinion dc is better, but is incredibly underrated given how bad was handled the release on launch
