I never said anybody suggested that she get the death sentence but if she got it, you would all say she deserves it.

based on what?  Getting sent to jail for contempt is fairly standard and accepted so I can see why it would be considered acceptable in this case.  Death penalty for contempt of court is a whole 'nother matter.

Haven't read all of the comments (so maybe this was mentioned) but I saw something on the news that seemed relevant.. Back in the 60's during school integration there was a similar situation where a person in a position of authority refused to enforce the Supreme Court ruling of school segregation to be illegal. Claiming it went against their Christian religious beliefs... That person was jailed. It is no different here. She is in a position to serve and follow the law of the land. She is going against the Supreme Court, against the United States of America, and against the Law. She absolutely needs to be jailed. Either that or be deported since she clearly is against the Constitution of the United States. Also failing to do her job. Mainly, and most saddening, she is failing at her own Religion. She has been divorced how many times? She should be stoned, cast away, looked down upon according to her own religion. She is a hypocritical bigot. It's so sad I've actually seen a few people defend her!! Even Bill O'Reiley (Fox News) condemned her and her actions and told her to "do her job!" when even the most bigoted on the Right are against you... you're probably a pretty sh*tty person.

More hyperbole, and assumption on your part.  Not a single person has suggested it, or even come close to recommending it.   Especially considering no such thing every has a fucking chance in hell of happening.  The only thing she deserves, is what the Judge indicates is a rightful application of 'contempt' law, until such a time as she does the honorable thing, and resigns.  Period.

The questions regarding her being jailed have been addressed.  It basiclly has to do with contempt.  What good would a court be if they could not back up an order.  Well, that is basically what happened here.  If you disrespect or ignore an order from a court, you can be found in contempt and jailed.  This happens ALL OF THE TIME and even in civil courts for the former reason.  If you act up in court you will be thrown in jail.  I promise you.  If the court gives and order and you ignore it, you will be jailed.   Its beyond her not doing her job.  Its the disrepect and defiance she showed the courts that made this possible.

Yeah, the only difference between this and most contempt cases, and the gamble Kim clearly was trying to play, is that she expected the courts to balk at holding her in contempt because she feels she's exercising her religious beliefs.  Obviously Mrs. Davis:

I personally think it is time that those of same sex orientation deserve rights, not just marriage. Keep in mind while the landmark voting of those of same sex orientation was a victory for the LGBT community, discrimination and homophobia are sadly still big problems here in America. Furthermore, employers can prevent those of said type of orientation to enter their business.

At the end of the day, the marriage license approval is a historic moment in world history (in my opinion). I just hope this opens up the floodgates to create new laws to increase quality of life among same sex orientation couples. Right now I am not sure if there is a law that can override such a decision (anyone with such information that can be of assistance would be much appreciated), but I do know that we as human beings should at least respect each other for who we are and not what we are.

Imagine for a moment a Quaker Clerk refusing to issue Concealed Weapon Permits to citizens, because issuing the permits goes against his religious beliefs. I wonder if Huckabee & Cruz would support the Quaker clerk?

This kind of silly. Leviticus (which is chief source cited by most Christians who have a bone to pick with homosexuality) in the Bible also prohibits the eating of shell fish and mixed fabrics.

So if I'm running a restaurant and someone orders lobster, I could have a waiter say "well I refuse to bring this order out because of my religious beliefs" or I could have a chef say "I refuse to cook that order because of my religion".

Or if I have a clothing store I could have a person say "I refuse to sell anyone any shirt made out of nylon because of my religious beliefs".

That person should be fired. Immediately. If you can't do your job because of your religious convictions, then that's your problem and you should go work somewhere else.

Wait what? Mixed fabrics.... so lol... can you claim religious discrimination if you refuse to serve someone whose outfit is clashing?
