Forums - Gaming Discussion - Phantom Pain or Arkham Knight?

Arkham Knight was awesome: the new mechanics were jarring to long time fans, but they only should have negatively impacted their experience if they were A) bad at driving the bat mobile *ahem* or B) intractable and never want things to change. MGSV:PP is out today, and it is MG. If you want to save money, but AK today and wait to buy the season's pass (At a discount, it is worth it, and the DLC is not worth it piecemeal [at all].).

In the end, MGS is MGS lol.

This was me.  I was awful with the damn thing.  I also made the mistake of trying to do all of the side missions as soon as they became available, which led to way too much time in the batmobile for my liking.

The key issue with the batmobile is that original fans came in blind (How could they not?), so it was an inherently different game mechanic. Arkham Origins and Need for Speed are NOT the same type of games, and it unwise to expect fan base overlap. Compared to other games, the controls were atypical (should have been ccutomizeable) and not as tight as those you find in most EA racers. It would have been much wiser to allow players to customize controls and reuse an established, arcade racer engine. I got the platinum trophy in this game, but that doesn't mean that the implementation wasn't lacking oversight: there were many, potential tweaks that could have elevated this game from excellent to classic.

It seems Im the only one who actually liked the Batmobile (tank sections included). Pro-tip, upgrade it as soon as possible. MGS has already won but if you'd like a game that is fun and doesn't take too long to beat (Im swamped with work/school these days so don't really enjoy getting into games that may take forever to fully complete) Arkham Knight is the way to go. Its perfect for relatively short burst 30-40minute game-play sessions.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Batman. In another week or 2, MGS will have a ton of used copies available, for a good price.

Arkham Knight... not that it's an amazing game, but it's good~great at least. But Ground Zeroes was flawed as hell, and by the looks of Phantom Pain... the game looks bland, too over the top and boring. The story is also cringeworthy in the series.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Phantom Pain. I would wait for Arkham Knight to go on sale before getting it.
