Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox 360 and Ps3 get 10 years after release still bigger games as Wii U

Just thought about it. Isnt that ridiclous?

Lineup 2015 ("big"games):

- Battlefield Hardline

- Dragon Ball Xenoverse

- Call of Duty Black Ops III

- Metal Gear Solid V

- Destiny: The Taken King

- Several Sport games (Fifa, NB2k,...)

- Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5

- Persona 5 (Ps3); Rise of the Tomb Raider (Xbox360)

Wii U Lineup (Big Games):

- Mario Party 9

- Splatoon

- Yoshis Wooly World

- Star Fox Zero

- Xenoblade Chronicles X

- Mario Maker

Also Metal gear Solid 5 will probl be better (in terms of metascore) then anything Wii U will get this year or even got so far.

How do you feel about that? Is it even worth to own a nintendo console anymore?

While I agree with you, you'll probably find that to your average Nintendo fan, games like Battlefield Hardline and COD are less appealing than Splatoon and XCX, and therefore in their eyes the Wii U has the bigger 2015 lineup.

I'd like to think that anyone who cares about the more mainstream games have learnt long ago that you won't find them on a Nintendo console, but you will find plenty of other great games instead. I'm not personally interested in most of Nintendo's line up, but obviously at least 10 million people are (many more if you believe that 3DS competes with the Wii U in some way).

Well, if I wanted most of those games, I could play them on my PC. Also, some of those games would have sold well on the WiiU (DB Xenoverse, Persona 5, The Phantom Pain, some sports games...) if publishers actually tried making the efford. And for some people, the WiiU lineup is still more appealing. A matter of taste.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Well i doubt that 10mio people got the wii u because of the lineup this year. Many got the system on launch because they just wanted a "new party console", many got the system for mario kart and smash.

Splatoon does good so far and is a really good game, but i doubt xbx, starfox and co will sell high numbers

I bet when PS4 is running on its 9th-10th year or so it ll still have some game releases seen.

Of course. FIFA 2023 is a safe bet.

Basically this.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

If you're gonna include Tony Hawk, than can I include Kirby?

Wii U has been on the market almost 3 years right? I wonder what kinda game releases it ll have 7 years from now.

It's a shame. Some of the games up there could make a good profit on Wii U. Even the CoD games that were released on Wii U made some sort of profit. DB Xenoverse definitely would have sold well on Wii U.

bet: lost
