I obviously haven't played it since it comes out until september 1st. But most reviews have been 10/10's as of now. Gamespot said that it was their 12th game ever to receive that score (masterpiece). For what I've been reading, people who have played around 30 hours have barely managed to put a 19% dent on the main missions completion ratio with around 12 missions, so it's a long game. That's without counting the multiplayer which comes out on october.

 

Yes but the problem with that "percentage complete" ranking is that you could do everything but miss things like a perfect score, trials or replays. I sunk 15 hours (just ran through it again today) into ground zeroes, I done everything, S ranked everything on normal done all hard missions twice to unlock all trials with some of them s-ranked got all the prisoners out, all the tapes. The only thing I seem to be missing isthe trials for three normal missions and the s-ranks for thre hard missions and I'm at 75%.

75% like...it should be 95 like my trophy completeion. Baffles me.


What I read is that the 19% was a completion ratio just for main missions, but I don't have any idea about how completion ratio works in TPP, or if it's any different from GZ.

I liked GZ as my first foray into MGS. Will I like a full blown game of it though? Hard to say. A definite maybe buy when it's half the launch price.
