Looking good

Man, this could hardly look more amazing.

8th gen >>>>> 7th gen already; no contest.

So driving is pretty much auto pilot. I'm ok with that. I just hope you're able to skip the driving.

Well the graphics look good... I keep hoping I'll like this game but it just seems so unlikely at this point.

I can't get into the modern world setting for final fantasy, it just seems out of place. Also, why on earth do they need to look like they're members of some emo band? Final fantasy parties are supposed to be colorful and diverse, not a group of moody quadruplets. Just looking at that group makes my eyes want to vomit... Everyone is in black! Here's hoping it's possible to change clothes lol

Meh, still not enough gameplay to judge yet. Lord knows I'll probably wind up getting it regardless... hope the game proves me wrong.

It isn't. They were explaining it while they were showing the gameplay. You can choose to have ignis drive for you so you can just enjoy the scenery or you can have Noctis drive so you can control the car and everything yourself.

It's looking great and I'm glad they are working hard on menus and the like. Episode Duscae was good but it was very rough around the edges. I still have very high hopes for FFXV

I really hope FFXVI goes back to the medieval setting. It has been a while since we last saw it outside the MMO games.

Me too. There was a certain magic to final fantasy games in those settings that I don't think anyone else can do better.

With ffxv I might employ a technique I've used in the past that strangely works for me... Basically, when a game is part of a series and isn't what you'd expect from said series, I just pretend it's a stand alone title and often wind up enjoying it lol

If it wasn't for the horrible random encounters and boring-looking FFVII-esque battle system, I'd try IX in a heart-beat, it really does look like a special game, and I think that the medieval setting has something to do with it, that said, I think it's better to have varying settings with each entry since each is supposed to feel unique.

I'm now filled with determination.
