What are some games that you haven't played that are widely considered as magnum opus, revolutionary, 10/10 games within your liked genre that you've never played because...reasons? Laziness? No money? 

For me, as a platformer, rpg, and fighting genre snob, I still haven't played Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Chrono Trigger, Street Fighter series, and Final Fantasy at all. Yeah, throw your pitch forks at me, sorry. ;_; Reason is...because I'm lazy lol. And a bit occupied. Maybe in due time...

I haven't played The Last of Us.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

As a gamer, GTA and COD, I've played both for an hour each, hated both, don't see what all the fuss is about.

As a Nintendo fan this is probably very rare, but I have barely played/can't stand Zelda. I played about ~10 hours (quit after clearing the water temple) of OOT on 3DS when it first came out and found it boring, nowhere near the best game I've ever played. I found Twilight Princess for $10 yesterday, however, so I'll give Zelda a second chance.


Also, OP, I'm an RPG fan who hasn't played any Final Fantasy either, so don't worry, you're not alone there :p

lol yeah, I don't like Zelda very much either. I guess it's not my genre despite playing SS, OoT, and TP.

OP: Valkyria Chronicles Series - No time, Fire Emblem: Binding Blade AND New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow - No English translations, Mother 3 - Same as the Fire Emblems, MGS: Twin Snakes 2,3,4,5, 5b - No time, and Borderlands - No time.

Funny thing is besides those 2 Fire Emblem games and Mother I basically own all of those games mentioned... o.O

Played but never even came close to finishing System Shock 2, Bioshock, Fallout 3, Dragon Quest 7, multiple Zelda titles after Ocarina, any Pokémon other than Snap...I'm sure there's more. ..

Mother 3 has a translation. It's a fan translation, but it's pretty professional in all aspects. It does mean playing in an emulator for most people, but if you're a fan of the series, it's worthwhile, especially with how easily GBA can be emulated on basically everything that isn't a toaster.

OT: For me, I haven't played through The Last of Us. Haven't gotten anywhere near completing any GTA game except Chinatown Wars on the DS. The Jak series and Ratchet & Clank series are largely unplayed by myself. Have only played the tiniest bit of a Metal Gear Solid game.
