I've been thinking about this for a long time now.

In my honest opinion I feel as if the PS4 isn't as respected as it should be. 

The PS4 embodies everything, it's predecessors lacked. It's the most powerful console of its generation, ( PS1/PS2 ) and it has the best looking/performing multiplatform games ( PS3 ). Not to mention it also embodies some of the best features of previous generation Sony consoles which include a 50%+ market share ( PS1,PS2 ).

Sure it's not perfect. Sure it lacks BC ( A feature which is present in the WII U and still in the works on the Xbox One ) and sure it has paid online ( A feature which is not present on the WII U but is on the Xbox One  ).

Yet at every little opportunity the PS4 is bullied and told that it has no games and that it is not the best console on the market right now.

So what do you guys think, does the PS4 deserve more respect?

yes, its the best value for your money right now gaming-wise

Yes but that's not gonna happen with the other fan bases for the most part. Best console this console by far. It deserves every bit of it's sales.

When I saw someone saying 2001: A Space Odyssey was shit, I lost all hope of such a thing as universal consensus.

All do, not just PS4.

Well, it's by far the best console by every single metric which isn't intensely personal. And as for the intensely personal metrics, that's where it is most victorious of all in my eyes.
