The thrill seems to be gone now. I'm here for the forums and community now.

Then why comment? Why bother coming to this website? 

I really hope things will go back to normality soon enough. :/

Because in the forums I can find topics on NPD, UK and Japan charts and find out real and accurate sales numbers there.

If it were on the front page, it would be easier for everybody to find it, the numbers would be much more accurate, reliable and up-to-date. And the sites name would still be VG Chartz - just better chartz.

And I comment because I can and am allowed to. If you feel that I should not be commenting, report my previous post and have the mods ban me. Otherwise, keep your nose out of my business.

Nice to see a update, wasnt expecting one when I went to visit the site.

It's hard to care about hardware and software numbers anymore without the context of the present time surrounding them.

No offense, because I understand that its a demanding task that's being done for free, but the reason the numbers were so important is because they were immediate and surrounded in the context of the week prior. That consistency and timeliness built a story around the sales that allowed people to forgive the "inaccuracies" of the numbers because what really mattered were the week to week fluctuations and the story they told. If something big happened this week, we need only wait a few days to see what impact it had on sales. That's important.

All that is gone when we get one update a month of sales from a month ago. Obviously the site is aware of this and I'm sure they are doing all they can, but it's a real stunt in the growth of the site. The relevance of VGC as a site is waning because of this. People aren't quoting us the way they used to because it takes a month to get what's relevant today quotable.

Whatever is being done in the background to expand the site overall should be absolutely secondary to getting the sales back up to date and consistent again, because without timely sales, VGC is just another gaming forum with a news blog on the side.
