Except its not as bad as this. Though i know Some games have it over the top in some ways. :0

I was proved wrong that Shovel Knight is fake. Technically the photoshopped amiibo of SV is really faked. but it is really coming to WiiU/3Ds. Somewhat a co-op unlock for Shovel Knight game, but I hope it can be used for other games like SMM, and even for Smash. :)

Then why lock content behind that is only detrimental for those that aren't interested in overpriced, overly hard to get DLC? I can assure you that I won't have a chance finding this in my local gamestore.

As long as you direct your complaint to Yacht Club Games as Nintendo doesn't lock co-op behind an amiibo.

In Super Mario Maker amiibo unlock a shit ton of costumes, but you can also unlock them by beating the 100 Mario challenge.

Pff, yeah of course Nintendo is the innocent sheep once again. What would they have to do with exclusive content on their platform that is tied to figures that they produce, right?

Yacht Club Games handles the production and distribution themselves I believe. 

Anyway, I don't get the complaint. Without the amiibo, we probably wouldn't have gotten the co-op to begin with. However it is a growing problem. As someone who has no interest in amiibo, I just hope that they don't start locking important stuff behind these amiibo.
