They could have done what they did with uncharted, remastering all games in 60fps and 1080P and improve some minor textures

True but they tend to keep their exact same ps3 graphics though.  Usually just a fps/resolution bump.  Never the jump seen in games like Halo Anni (1&2), Fable Anni, or this one.  Uncharted is a step in the right direction, though.

This isn't a remaster.

Seriously if its not even running at 60 fps through and through then whats the point of remastering it?

Ideally, we'd like better graphics and better fps but I guess, for the campaign, it had to be one or the other.  Some rereleases get a resolution boost and better fps (ie: TLoU).  Some get better fps, resolution, AND redrawn graphics and effects (ie: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition).  This one gets a steadier fps, a resolution, and a huge graphical upgrade.

Whether you're in the camp that prefers fps to graphics, I don't know.  Personally, I've never cared about the frame rate as long as it's payable.  That's why I'm cool with Uncharted 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider having a 30fps performance level.

At least the Gears multi-player is 60fps for those that play online.  Dedicated servers, too!

eeehhh...there is no hard and fast definitions for us to go buy to determine what counts as a remake or not, but this still uses the same engine and base coding. So I don't think it really counts as a remake.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

and I believe something like 90% of poeple grabbed this for the multi player with a campaign run through for nostalgia as a bonus :)

Lol bashing that its campaign is not 60fps? Is that the best you guys can do.   Ignore the fact it looks vastly better than the other ports we are used to, with the exception of Halo.

If it was just a straight port, I would agree.

But given visual overhaul with 1080p, I think 30 fps is acceptable.
