Yeah, the fact that Nintendo was able to pump out a lot of beautiful looking titles on the Wii is quite the accomplishment.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Really great game indeed. Can't decide if I like SMG2 or SM3D World more though

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

I have yet to play SMG1/2 AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

So I'm choosing 64 since it helped the industry transition into 3d.

I really love Super Mario Galaxy and I think its one of the best games of previous gen, but after completed I didn't have any desire to play Mario Galaxy 2, I only played 2 levels and stopped, I will back to it in some point..

So last thing that I want from new 3D Mario game is Mario Galaxy 3, I want something completly new or something like Mario 64, I would prefer even Mario 3D World 2 instead of Mario Galaxy 3.

I agree, Super Mario Galaxy looks amazing! Especially the second Galaxy. They're definitely the best looking games on Wii and Galaxy 2 should at least be mentioned when talking about the whole generation.

And they're both excellent games as well. I like the first a bit better than the second, mostly because of the hub-world and the little details like Rosalina's story. I liked them better than 3D World, but this game is really part of a different sub-series. Also an excellent game though. I'd say Sunshine is still the least good out of all of them because FLUDD kind of ruined the clever platforming for me, and Mario 64 is certainly still the king. That game is brilliant.

galaxy 1&2 should be listed together.
3D world & land should be listed together.

The pole should have been:

64 vs Sunshine vs Galaxy vs 3D world/land.

anyways... glad to see Galaxy getting some love, combined their over 33% of the votes atm.

Mario Galaxy is my favorite mario game(s), followed really close Super Mario Bros 3 (snes).

I feel like the new Super Mario 3D world, is a step back, from galaxy.

I can understand its going back to its roots and makeing it 3D, but it just didnt work out as well as it should have (imo).

Next Mario needs to be a Sunshine x2 ; Mario 62 x2 ; Galaxy 3.

(id prefer it wasnt sunshine 2, but its acceptable, another 2d platformer isnt even if in 3D)

Galaxy 2 is the magnum opus of 3D platforming to me. It offers great platform challenge, replayability, the best controls and mechanics, and just so fun. Nothing topped Galaxy 2 by a longshot.

^ this guy gets it.

Galaxy 1 and 2 were definitely the worthy successors to SMB3 and World I was waiting for.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The Mario series is the biggest achievement by nintendo

Agree with this 100%, Nintendo showed that it was possible to have a 3d world with a camera that didn't suck complete balls.

Mario's jump into the 3d universe was made look even more graceful at the time because it was next to Sonics absolute failure to do so properly.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Arguably the best looking platformer from last gen IMO.

Really hope NX gets that HD Mario Collection
