Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I have no need to buy another game for the rest of the year.

Sounds like what some of my CoD/Madden friends say. While I don't personally get into multi-player like that (outside of MMOs, which will take over your life) I will probably spend months with Fallout 4.

I never thought i would like to play this game so much. The online MP is really awesome. I AM finishing mario and Luigi superstars for GBA but splatoon is just amazing! Really hard to put down.

Splatoon's a great game that should definitely be up for game of the year imo. It's metacritic score should also be adjusted to about 90, given all the updates.
But Mario Maker and Xenoblade are coming out. Those will win through novelty.

It has to be said, for all of the doom and gloom about the Wii U, it'll end up having a pretty good year on the whole. So much variety in their big releases. Splatoon, Mario Maker, Star Fox, Xenoblade. They're all as far away from each other in terms of genre as you could possibly imagine.

Man, you just shouldn't be so excited over something as irrelevant as that.

New maps and modes I guess are exciting enough, but I still wouldn't look forward to that anywhere near as much as a new game. I think the only extra content that ever got me truly hyped in any game ever was the Mario Kart 8 DLC (and 200cc)... which weirdly enough only barely got me back into the game for a short while before I went back to Smash and later on, Splatoon.

Except they're very relevant, like I said they change up the gameplay. New weapons n gear bring new playstyles and strategies, new maps and modes encourage new playstyles and strategies. Hell I've already been planning sets for the upcoming weapons and imagining just how fun they're gonna be.

Is there a lot of fun playing Splatoon in single player?

I got bored of splatoon very quick.

Burn the witch!!!!!!!

It'd be the same for me if it weren't for Xenoblade Chronicles X coming out this year, I seriously need that game in my life. I have been hooked on Splatoon as well though, it's such an addictive game that I can't put down.

Once I get playing Splatoon, I have a hard time putting the controller down. So many tense moments.

I was playing a ton of Splatoon 3 months ago. for the last 2 months, i've played Xenoblade so I could atleast finish a game from my backlog. :)

I understand the addiction and it is real, I even went to play with the gamepad and use the cord charger while playing just to continue my leveling and already went through those map rotations twice or even thrice.

Ranked battles is really frustrating and if you lose, you wanted to win and sometimes you wanted to level up before you say its enough. :D

I will be back in Splatoon but won't play 12 hours straight like back then, I'm now playing Fire Emblem Awakening, bought it this year and played a few during my Xenoblade sessions, it is also addicting to play.

Halo, Gears, MGS5 and maybe Forza. That is all I need baby.
