as an outside i think American's are too wound tight and believe in that piece of paper as much as people do in the bible. Both being relevant at the time. Now they should be nothing more than a guide to how to be a good citizen if logic is lacking in your body and you cannot work it out for yourself.

Def. "amendment" (noun): something every American seems to forget about that is supposed to be implemented, so the nation can evolve with the times.

Unless you want to flip the whole system on it's head then it's much better to just have amendments to the constitution instead of writing a new one. What is wrong with the current constitution?

Honestly, there should have never been a U.S constitution in the first place. It baffles me how a few dozen people can make decisions that influence millions and then make up some concept of the "social contract" to support said claim. At least they had the foresight to limit the beast they created, but it still wasn't enough. I also think Americans could have solved their problems at the time without forming a federal government. The Federalists set up a very poor foundation to this country, and no matter how much the anti-federalists tried to rectify it, we are seeing the negative effects today.

America was once very well respected in the eyes of the world, today its more like people look at America and *facepalm*

Ive been to America its a choice as place to visit but I could never live there, there is some serious serious issues that need to get changed for me to want to live there.

I can say the same for most of Europe, Asia, and Oceania, although there are a few exceptions like Switzerland, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. Different people have different values and choose to manifest those values in their environment.
