As a former iPhone and iPad owner, and now low tier Android Owner, I say this thing of locking yourself into a plataform ecosystem is a very big lie in technology. The only advantage I had from having iPhone and iPad was knowing my purchases would be present in both, but, now more and more I see spending money for locking yourself into an Apple Ecosystem, MS or Google ecosystem is just pointless.

The best services out there are plataform agnostic, even Apple services. Google has a strong presence in every OS, from iOS to Ubuntu, MS is increasing their presence in other OS`s. It doesn`t matter if I have an windows 10 PC, and android phone and an iPad but use dropbox for files storing, Netflix for video streaming, and most Google services for the rest.

I`m a Google person, everything I use, with the exception of Dropbox and MS word, is Google. Last week I installed Windows 10 and since stopped using Chrome in favor of Edge, but still use everything else from google. It doesn`t matter if I use gmail from an iphone or android, i will get exactly the same informations. And going this route, I used to dream owning a full Apple ecosystem, but now, I`m sticking with my 2012 Dell Studio XPS with Windows 10 ( at max buying a SSD and some RAM in the near future) for a long time, I`m going to stick with my Moto E til next year when i`m getting an android phone and maybe, just maybe i`ll get an iPad later next year. All the frenzy for having the most powerful hardware and ecosystem as the services evolve are getting everyday more pointless.

thats ur opinion really

on one side u say,u are a google person and use their services then u compare Apple and Microsoft,everybody already knows ur preference and u show bias


overtime all these different services will go their own way

the only reason MICROSOFT and GOOGLE put their services onto other devices is because they donot have that much dominance

Microsoft is absolutely pathetic on the ecosystem front as they don't have anything in their stores still,they are forced to make things available on other platform as they have been disaster after disaster for the last couple of year on all front and especially on the mobile front

And Google,you know what it is.Doesn't really do anything as a company but experiments and launches it as BETA Products to fool people and close them when they bomb and say its just an experiments and where do you find that you are able to download GOOGLE PLAY STORE things on iOS or Windows Phone devices that you can't on iTunes or Windows Store.

Google main objective was to be the BIG DADDY on net but that went nowhere as Hardware companies didn't let them get away with it.They knew if Google wanted,they wud dictate terms to suite their own monopoly and they had to protect their own Brands

 


Android today is more of a SAMSUNG thing than anything else.Hell,even GOOGLE is 2nd to SAMSUNG in the whole Android sphere.

if SAMSUNG leaves,Android is done for.Not that its not already disbanding in many ways because of its UN-Standardadised platform and monoply by Google and Samsung dissuading other companies and SAMSUNG is already ready with their TIZEN or BADA whatever OS to compete with iOS

 

 

iOS is the only platform which has longterm stability and future at the moment because of the long term vision it was crafted with and how it has been handled.But nobody knows what APPLE will do now.They have already been fucking up since Steve Job's demise and killing their own brand

Windows and Microsoft is another but that needs alot more refinement and revolution before it can even think of competing but Microsoft keeping it their own and not inviting Google like free OS stuff thing has definetly helped

I don`t know how in any form someone can find some fanboyism in my words, comparing technology companies that offer similar services is just natural, saying I prefer one and criticizing Apple online services isn`t fanboyism, iCloud really is a big mess unless you use iOS, and that isn`t because it`s the best, but how the system is closed and how integrated it is to the system itself, and even when I used iOS i didn`t use it. More and more, and that is a trend in technology, it won`t matter wich system you use, all services will be avalaible everywhere with few exceptions, and that is already really strong in mobile and desktop computing. Even apple is releasing their Apple Music for Android like they released iTunes for Windows, it`s a service, they need to reach a broad range of people where they are. MS is releasing their software to many plataforms because they want that money, and if it`s because Windows Phone bomb flopped or not, it really doesn`t matter, in the end of the they they`re getting plataform agnostic like their competitors.

From some years from here the difference between Android, iOS and even Windows Phone will be just interface, the most important features and services will be available everywhere. And as Computer devices evolve into not much more the gateways to the cloud, their processing power won`t be that important anymore also, unless for very specific applications, wich is already the case for desktop and laptops, and is coming to be true for mobile devices too.

It really doesn`t matter much anymore if I`m using Moto E or the latest Galaxy Note if my main use is social media, phone calls,texting, e-mail and casual gaming. For that matter it also won`t matter much if I use Android or iOS or Windows Phone. The Mobile OS war you claim is getting everyday more pointless, even if Samsung came with a huge own OS that won`t matter, unless is something really huge and change everything, Tizen will be Samsung OS, ok and? What most people are going to use it for? If you guessed Texting, Social Media, e-mail, Phone calls and casual gaming,  you guessed it right.

u look anywhere and any industries or anything,their is spread and then consolidation and then spread and then consolidation................

 

this cycle goes on and on and on,nothing new

 

i know their was consolidation but that had more to do with the SMAPRTPHONE revolution

 

things seem to be going back to divided ecosystems as you look with Samsung's TIZEN,Microsoft's WINDOWS,Apple's iOS and Google's Android

hell even SONY was trying to build their own ecosystem with UNLIMITED products and SONY ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK and so was LG

 

they are all going their separate way

 

Even apple is releasing their Apple Music for Android like they released iTunes for Windows,

dont compare iTunes and Apple Music,they are two very different thing,you shud be knowing this if u follow technology but i dont know

 

Now for Apple Music,it doesn't have anything to do with Apple doing this or that but Apple fucking up and losing its sheen.Tim Cook and the Retards running Apple now dont know how to dominate,thats why they are doing it not because of their own choice.it`s a service, they need to reach a broad range of people where they are.

The way they are going,they will sing Apple in 10 years to nothing the way of NOKIA and BLACKBERRY

if Steve Jobs was here,Apple Music would be Apple Exclusive and still be No.1 Music Streaming Service with nobody even close to them.

NOKIA got destroyed,SONY is shadow of its Former GIANT self,Microsoft isn't anywhere near dominant right now and ARM beat the shit out of INTEL

they sure will be as processing power will be needed for ROBOTIC chips,Navigation and Holographic calculations,etc

i never really spoke of any Mobile OS war,u were the one comparing

 

Their is no war between iOS and Android as Android doesn't have a shape or form,its all over the place

 

and Samsung coming up with its TIZEN will have big consequences for Google,Apple,Microsoft and everyone

 

it isn't so much for Mobile War or something that u are hund up with but more to do with Samsung protecting its own Intellectual Properties and having more share of its own pie which Google now seems to be eating for no fucking reason

Samsung launches TIZEN,Android is done for,Google has to get of its fucking ass and do some REAL WORK is 10 years and will do most likely by building their own hardware,iOS will have a direct competitor and All the other Android compnies go to dust or make their own Operating System which has interactibility problems across all OS

And whoever is more dominate is able to shape the Industry the way they want and after a while 2-3 main companies stay at top doing whatever they want and charging whatever they want,its called MONOPOLY,google it

If Apple Control dissatisfies you,Monopoly will be worse
