Maybe I'm getting old but trailer looked like a joke, OMG it's a zombie apocalypse, for the 1254th time, and a random family worries about its missing members! also, paint is drying somehwere and you can watch that too! zzzzzzzzzzzzzz What they should have done is showed what happens 50 or 100 years after original.

didn't see the full episode

but whatever i did see,it didn't seem like a spin-off but more like a parallel show to make more money of Walking Dead Brand Name SUCCESS

it seems like the series will flop long term but no one knows as Walking Dead is so popular

To be fair, everybody (including me) thought Saul was gonna be this terrible cash-in by AMC and it surprised everybody. You can never really be sure with AMC.

SAUL was a character inside Breaking Bad already and he was probably the most loved characters of Breaking Bad

he was my fav in Breaking bad even though i love Bryan Cranston since Malcom in the Middle days and he was stunning in this

if they did spinoff on Daryl Dixon or The Governor, that wud be understood and also fit the definition of a Spin-off but this is an altogther different things. Its almost like they are milking it

AMC has made alot of stunners in the past few year but they need to behave like A BIG COMPANY if they are to become one in the future and also be a stable big company not just go up and then straight down

it is a good start, need more characters maybe in the upcoming episodes. and not just one family having the limelight. it is a spinoff so i don't expect that much.

Liked it, but too much teens. Teens can be a problem. Thanks god the girl boyfriend died (most likely), i won't be able to stand teen romance bs during the apocalipse.

Also, why the hell that boy took a knife to the college exactly? If he really believes there is a zombie situation, why he is even going to school? And why the hell he cared when the lady threatened to expel him?

Like i said, i liked it, but let's see how this will go.

Haven't seen it but I hope it's good. There's something about that moment where It all goes to shit that's just so enticing. Interpretations about how people would react. The increasing desperation.

Was pretty average, but I'll give it a good six episodes before deciding to quit or not. I just want different dynamics in Walking Dead.

My idea was instead of spin off do mini series around the world to see different climates, cultures, etc. react and could see results like everyone dies to add real tension to situations as would remove plot armor.

I really liked it. It will be interesting to see the outbreak, and all the questions surrounding the beginning of the chaos.
I also like the characters...well the girl was just a prop for most of the show, but the others did a really good job.

It's a nice 6 episode intro to the 6th season, but it shows a lot of promise. Now I want TWD: New York and TWD: Miami.

This show could end up bigger than the walking dead.

For me this was example of how not to do spin-off.

Sure, Walking Dead can be Boring Dead as well, but Fear, with all the family focus and weak script/directing and not very engaging characters was quite a disappointment.

Honestly, I was wondering the whole time how AMC even greenlit such a weak show in the first place, specially after such a superb spin-off they had this year in Better Call Saul - well, apart from obvious milking the cow reason.
