Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Thoughts on Star Fox Zero?

Well, Nintendo have showed us some gameplay and details about Star Fox Zero. It's not a reboot, not a sequel, but a "reimagination" of the Star Fox universe.

(I was trying to put a gameplay video here but I don't know how to do it)

My thoughts:

- This "reimagination" thing is just an silly and ridiculous excuse. It's just a reboot with a new name (and the second reboot of the franchise)

- The graphics are good, I liked them. They're ok.

- Original voice acting, yay!

- Still no multiplayer confirmed? What's wrong with you, Nintendo?

What are your thoughts?

Looking forward to playing it.

Doesn't look like worth a purchase for me unless they show a trailer that amazes me so I am skipping it

I'm feeling pretty confident about the game being good. It might not be day one material for me but I'll get it sometime this year.

From what I've heard the voice acting isn't terrible (at least Fox's voice sounds better than in Smash 4), the graphics are passable, and I'm not to bend out of shape with no multiplayer since I consider the Star Fox franchise more centered on single player.

But yeah "reimagination" is just another term for reboot. And I thank Nintendo for actually making it one since the last two original Star Fox games (Adventure and Command) were a mess story-wise personally.

I'll probably get it, but I need to see more of it to make it a confident Day 1 purchase.

Honestly, I've never played a Star Fox game but I feel like this one should be a good entry point.

Pretty much how I feel.

Bit skeptical due to the whole gamepad gimmick. I know Nintendo said that there is a separate controller option, but it can be like 3D World where certain sections require the gamepad, forcing the gamepad down our throats.

I'll wait and see reviews of it first and some gameplay.

Pretty confident, one of my friends tried it in an event in Chile and he says it's much better than what you can see on a video. Graphics are good according to him, and gameplay is brilliant.

idk. I always found the series to be way too overhyped, aside from the first game which was just such a marvel for its time. I will wait on this one. Hopefully it turns out great

Hi

Looks decent, but it doesn't exactly "wow" me.

I'll have to see more before giving a proper opinion.
