I would like to start by saying i think the Xbox 1 is actually a good console. I have owned one, (traded it in), but have owned one non the less. It was a good piece of hardware. MS has made strideds since launch to make this console apease to gamers and are currently offering a great line up of exclusive content. However greedey as MS is pissing me off. They are trying to monopilize the gaming market with there colapse of Win 10 with X1. I feel like they are trying to cash in while they still have brand recpgnition with gammers before they bow out of they console industry This is amking me not want to rebuy an X1 even tho i think the have great games comming out. Thier snide commetn twords the comp because they could not secure 3rd party ad rightes are another example, as a company they are petty and dont care about the consumer at all. Thoughts? am i just a Sony fanboy on a rant, or are MS really trying to dick us as gamers?

I think they are just a company working on consoles and gaming. It is of course for money and to get as many consumers as possible, again for money (of course), but they don't seem any more greedy than any other company. They have done some great stuff for gaming, but so has almost every other company that has made a console and games.

All companies are in it for the money, consumer be damned. In defense of said companies, consumers can be plenty selfish too but that's beside the point.

You did as you felt right and in the process you've provided Microsoft feedback by speaking with your wallet. Microsoft will either try harder or sink.

Neh, more people get to play their games and they get to make more money so both sides win. Not everyone wants to play on PC and this site should support that statement greatly considering the past so I think MS thinks that putting games on PC won't affect their console sales to a noticeable degree and majority of the xbox gamers won't mind as long as its not on the ps4. Now whether or not that is true, we will see in the future but as of right now, I am fine with it.

Of course, this also means that I won't be buying an x1 but... I never bought a 360 or an xbox either and they had plenty of exclusives that never came to PC so...

I also love playing games on PC so I might be biased (most likely am)

No I get that, I feel they are cashing in now while they can and are not going to support the XBox brand in the near future. I'm torn because I think the X1 is a great console but I can't support a business like MS...

No it's the same thing it's always been for me. I just don't find that they have enough exclusives that I'm interested in to spend money on a console when exclusives are the only reason I'd ever play it (since it shares third parties with PS). I like some of their franchises but none of them are must haves like Ratchet and Clank, GoW, anything ND makes, Infamous, and a gazillion more Playstation ones. I sold my WiiU since their franchises were getting boring for me. Playstation also has the new IP I want. I just can't spend $400 on something that I'll play Sunset and maybe Quantum Break on.
