Most games on PS/XBOX tend to get overinflated scores. I mean, just check the games that got over 90%+.

Look at Arkham City on the Wii U, it got 11 points less on average. Then look at games like Journey, TLOU: R, Fez, Bastion, Flower, Shovel Knight (PS4), etc.

Titanfall, with no singleplayer campaign and not a lot of content got 86%. Halo: MCC, who's online still doesn't work correctly, is sitting at 85%.

They don't have the same amount of reviews, and the reviews say they took off points cause of framerate issues and glitches, another mentions some gimmicks that do more harm than good, "You can use the right stick to aim, but the gyroscope still registers and can throw the reticule off slightly."

All those PS4 ports are superior to the PS3 versions in every way, Batman Arkham City obviously doesn't fit that criteria.

Lol, my PC from 1960 can run Fez, Bastion, Shovel Knight and Flower (hyperbole). What's so superior about those ports? Shovel Knight is the exact same game.

I never said Arkham City on Wii U was scored unfairly btw. Not at all the point I was making.

The changes in most of these "remasters"/ports are so few that they don't deserve so much praise.

Who cares if the changes are few, they are reviewing the game, they aren't reviewing the changes between ports.  If the game is still great its gonna get a good score lol, it would be retarded for a reviewer to take points off a games score cause its similar to another version.

Yeah...that is just extremely silly and something the editor should have seen and rejected. Hell, why did Zombi even need its own review anyways? Couldn't they just add a short addendum to the old review?

Ugh, this just highlights the problems with numbered reviews.

Maybe it's the price of this new release - I find it fairly enjoyable for what it's sold on Steam, but I'd never even consider it at $60.

Anyway, 7.5 seems about right, given all the flaws.

Remasters should be reviewed as remasters, not original games. GoW 3: R got a lower score than the original and with good reason. Sadly most indie games get ridiculously high scores for what they are. Let's be honest here, Shovel Knight is not a 91% game at all. It's not even in my top 5 platformers on the Wii U.

I didn't see reviewers take the cheaper price of DKC: TF or Splatoon into account.

Different reviewers so different opinions. It's not really that surprising.

Well, they should have assigned it to the same reviewer, or this reviewer should have made some comment about whether they liked the Wii U version better than PS4/Xb one or not. But as the reviewers are different you can't come to any sort of conclusion other than different reviewers = different tastes.

Games should be reviewed based on their story, graphics, gameplay, etc.  Not based on the differences between other versions of the game.  Reviews have always been used to access the quality of a game.

Welcome to the sham that are commercial reviews. Learn to ignore.

The excuse that its a different reviewer is weak aswell. A publication has to mantain consistency. Its not today, fan of system A gets to review game from system B and tomorrow fan from system B reviews the same game but it scores higher even though its a worse version. It isnt the publication of journalist X, its IGN.

But welll... we already knew they were bad. Too much water.
