Nokia used to manufacture the best phones, half of Croatia had their phones.
Sadly, Nokia got in bed with Microsoft, which managed to completely destroy them, losing billions of dollars in the process of a constant decline in OS marketshare http://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/08/gartner-android-ios-together-hold-96-8-market.html

Job well done, Stephen Elop.

Their downfall began earlier. Arrogance, bad decisions, bad management etc. Well done, Jorma Ollila.

So sad to see Nokia phones go into the sunset. :(

I remember the days when all you'd see are Nokia cell phones. Microsoft has to do one of two things. They'd either have to appeal to the lowest common denominator VERY CHEAPLY or they need to start innovating. They just buying stuff up just isn't cutting it, and it's doing more harm than good.

I think that they're trying to make very cheap phones. At least in the UK they're the cheapest smartphones out there. That's the problem. I used to have a windows phone , and I just wanted to smash it to pieces. It was very frustrating. Even microsoft's own APPs didn't work properly.  The worst part was that it crashed all the time.

Jesus... What happened to Nokia. They're phones sold hundreds of millions back in the late 90s and early 2000s. What did they do with all that cash.

They made the N-Gage.

Sad to see tho, my first mobile was a Nokia 5110 with Kick ringtone.... good times, will always have a place in my heart that big thing.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

And this what the EU regulators aproved? Letting european technology company being bought up by americans so they can get the patents and lay off the rest.
But with chinese, russian and asian investors they look with a loophole?

Even if nokio would have been smart they would have failed because the US is a bigger country than finland and has more market power to set the Technology standards.

lol what? They were successful in US. They failed to act when smartphones came and then it was too late. Deal with Microsoft was ment to help with marketing their product in US but it was too late.

Yet, somehow, Blackberry is still around.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
