I'd have expected it'd be more than that by now too. It's been released on what? PSP, Vita, PS3, PC?

The first 6 FF games are on iOS/android as well o.O.
FF7 is now on PSX, PSN for PS3 and PSP, Steam and now iOS/android - will be coming to PS4 next. This is great for consumers :O |
Because filthy casual mobile players don´t deserve the option to play a sacred hardcore game like FF7
Oh wait, hardcore gamers had mobile too and FF7 can be played by a 7 years old boy... Nevermind.

You mean on the European PS Store, which is actually a bigger market than the US (at least where PlayStation is concerned). I know Steam Spy isn't particularly reliable, that's why I said that was the maximum figure and it could well be lower meaning the PSN figure would be higher. |
There isn't really a (common) European PS Store. What I buy in the Italian store is still for sell in the UK Store. And vice-versa. Also all European PS+ subscriptions are tied to the Country. And some DLCs may not be even compatible.
Let me check the UK numbers. Hmm.. 21764, like in the Italian store. Ok, you have a point: the evaluations must be associated to the game's ID number, then. Which should be the same for FF VII in Europe (if it was only in English. I don't remember).
GTA V for PS3 indeed has the same number of evaluations in both UK and Italy as well: above 24K. For PS4, which I've read it had quite an high number of digital downloads, it's indeed twice that (48K). The evaluations should be for digital only version. Prototype 2 instead, which in Italy only has the Italian/Spanish languages (thus it must have different ID) has a different number of evaluations. Actually the two versions of Protoype 2 Gold edition do, since Protoype 2 in the UK Store is even missing.
Back to FF VII then we have to add.. Japan. :)

How so? |
He is obviously a vita "fan" and scince modern smartphones already beat the vita in specs, there is like no need for a PSVita if good and quality games gets released on smartphones.

If it were a new game that might make some modicum of sense. But a port of an 18 year old game? |
Hey man 'life' is hard for a Vita fan
Ka-pi96 said: The 11 million won't include ios sales though since it has only just released there. PS1: 9.81m (ZhugeEX) Seems possible to me. The PSN figure seems low, but when you consider every PS3 has disc based backwards compatibility with all PS1 games it lessens the need for people to buy it again there. The Steam version definitely did well, well enough to get SE to release 8 on steam as well, and has been on sale a few times so 900k there seems very possible. Of course the Steam Spy estimate is a maximum, so it could be less than that and if that's the case the PSN version would be higher. |
I really doubt these 290k for PSN... it is way more unless 9.81m figure from ZhugeEX already account for PS1 classics from PSN.
