Forums - Gaming Discussion - Final Fantasy 7 for IOS is out.. all versions at 11 million sales

If the PS1 version is included, and VGC tracking is right, then i think it sold pretty badly elsewhere. Given the fact that it's available on steam, PSN and iOS now. less than a million scattered between these.

Pretty sure it was at 11mil before other versions.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

This game has always been on top in the psn store, I would have expected it to be way above 11M unless they are not counting those or the game is overtracked here

There's no way this game can only be at 11 million sold unless they're not counting the PSN version. It's been scattered across too many platforms for it to not be like 15 at least.

There is a way. If it sold 9.81m ww then it just didn't sell as well as others thought on steam and playstation. Its a great game tho and deserves more love.

The PS1 version is 9.7m according to VGC out of those 11m, if they really mean all packaged sales, so that makes the remaining 1.3m sales of the iOS version and the where-ever-else-it-was-released versions less impressive. The original obviously did very good, we'll see how much the real remake sells. I'm thinking also very good.

It sold 9.81m worldwide on PlayStation.

No, it sold more than 10m on ps1, like i said before, people keep forgetting the international version released in Japan.

''Hadouken!''

I like how they avoided showing the in-game character models throughout 99% of that commercial they put out

9.81m is final sales for PS1.

Over 10m includes PC

The 11 million won't include ios sales though since it has only just released there.

PS1: 9.81m (ZhugeEX)
Steam: 900k (Steam Spy)
PSN: 290k (The rest)

Seems possible to me. The PSN figure seems low, but when you consider every PS3 has disc based backwards compatibility with all PS1 games it lessens the need for people to buy it again there. The Steam version definitely did well, well enough to get SE to release 8 on steam as well, and has been on sale a few times so 900k there seems very possible. Of course the Steam Spy estimate is a maximum, so it could be less than that and if that's the case the PSN version would be higher.

Umm did they give us an exact figure or just a rough 11m?? Because 11m realistically could be anything from 11m to <12m

Steam Spy is as much reliable as Patcher. FF VII has been the most sold PSN game for weeks if not months. It has 33,370 evaluations in the US PS Store. Nearly 22 thousand in the Italian PS Store, which is a quite smaller market. I really doubt it sold more on Steam than on PSN.
