Why sad? Every company goes thru the same process when creating a console, from the first reunions to the R&D to the marketing, etc. They all have the same oportunities since day one. Blame Microsoft and Nintendo for not doing the necesary things to make the competition more fierce.

Other thing is that since the creation of the Playstation they have dominated the market with the exception of the Ps3, so 3 out of 4 generations of domination from Sony. At this point in time, nobody should be surprised.

I understand your point, and I should elaborate more.  I was expecting more from MS, and sure a lot more from Nintendo, this is way I say :''SAD''.

WiiU is really sitting alone in a corner, harmless, giving zero competition to Sony and MS, this gen.   But as you said, the only gen where all competitors were doind battle each the other was the previous gen, Wii PS3 and 360, with their respective strong points at different times.

Yeah, it IS unfortunate because if we had 360 estimates we could then work out what the split was when MS release combined 360/XB1 numbers. You're right, it is a bit weird ...

360 numbers are up, so now you can do those calculations.

Well, In Japan no domination, but sure PS4 did a lot better than both WiiU and X1, since each console launched, as cumulative sales divided by number of weeks on the Market.

You could say the same for every generation prior to this, over the last 20 Years.

The original PS dominated. The PS2 dominated. The Wii dominated.

Two months is the new "next week".   

@Ka-pi96: I tough we'd have seen them at earliest with successive week numbers, if not even later, or never, but ioi must have decided XB360 was becoming too mysterious.   

IMO Xbone is overtracked here.
