Seems like Wii U and PS4 are very close weekly now. Probably will take even longer for PS4 to catch Wii U than I was expecting, unless big games this year make a significant 'enough' difference. Unless DQ releases the first half next year, I think it might take until Fall 2016 for PS4> Wii U.

Cool.  Saw the spike with Mario Kart as well, does Media Create or Famitsu include bundle games in their list?  Since MK8 is bundled with Wii U?

Glad the home consoles got a good bump during this japanese holiday (whatever that holiday is).

So then:

Not the hardware bumps I was expecting. Decent from PS4 considering where it was last year, Vita and WiiU okay. Good for 3DS, kinda expected a little more though.

Software is better. Very nice from Animal Crossing & Youkai Watch. Good from Splatoon, but I was expecting a little better after COMG. Pleased with Minecraft, and I'm happy Taiko finally had some legs (even if it's just holiday bump legs).

Makai Shin Trillion hanging on in there, which is odd for a Compile Heart game.

Splatoon with those legs. At this rate I expect Splatoon to reach 1m in Japan, possibly even by the end of this year.
