Sony, Microsoft, watch out!

Currently most hyped for: FFXV and Zelda U

I think it's funny that the name of this thing sounds like the german "Oh je!".

A expression basically meaning "Oops" or "Oh dear!"

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

No Wii U? Or has Chna never heard of it?

Funding goal of 100k Yuan? So only ¬16,000 USD.
I don't see how it's possible with such a small budget unless they are hoping to overshoot.

It's like the PS4 and XB1 went to China, had a baby, and left it there

This reminds me of the time I was teaching in China. We were playing Easter games and we asked our students to colour some eggs. 95% of them used their phones, found a picture of a coloured egg on a website and copied it. I was honestly lost for words.

Similar things happened with their essays/homework. Most of them simply don't understand the concept of "copyright" .

Or originality, apparently. Hell, throw in 'creative expression' too, that easter egg story is a little frightening....

I think, these are two countries with different historical backgrounds and educational system decisions.

OUYE hahahahahahahahhahahahahahaaaha...

It was blatently a copy of the PS4's design, with the Xbox controller, and a name that sounded alot like the OUYAs.

It tickled my funny bone.

Then I wondered how powerfull would one of these be?

Damn thats alot weaker than I thought it would be..... the Ouye name seems fitting then.

I just assumed due to its size, that it would be clocked much higher than the Tablets that run the same chips, and thus might be a good bit more powerfull than that.

^ this had me thinking it might be abit stronger than a Ouya.

There's not much benchmarks to go with, but in T-Rex Onda 989 is some 5x faster than Ouya - so yeah, this should be lot faster than Ouya.

Potentially around 5 times faster than the Ouya. hmmm... not bad.

I can't find any bench results for G6230 GPU except Onda 989, but it seems it's slightly bellow nVidia Shield (1st one with Tegra 4).

If I understand correctly, for $69 you get one of these with controller.

The price.... is right.

69$ for a mini console, thats potentially 5 times as fast as the OUYA was? that doesnt sound half bad.

Im kinda scared to admit it, but this console atleast has me abit intrested in how its going to do, and what kinda games & support it ll get.

Yeah, considering that Mad Catz MOJO, which packs Tegra 4 (so just slightly faster) is $135-150 (which is insane, given that nVidia Shield Android TV, which is some 6x faster is $199), depending on quality on controller, $69 is quite good price.
