Nah, I think it's also available on gog, but we only have steam data and steam also accounts for the majority of PC sales most of the time.

So on steamspy this game has already 0.75m owners.

On PS4 this game is probably around 1.25 physical sales and at least 250k digital.

Xbox One around 600k sales and 120k digital.

Total: 3 million in sales. So that means that vgchartz is probably heavily undertracked for PS4 and Xbox One. I think PS4 version is over 2m already

VGC is months behind, doens't track digital and doesn't tack PC (which for this game probably is dominating). Also VGC is an estimate, and for games a lot worse than for hardware. So no, VGC-numbers don't support your belief.
