Other top choices: Rayman Legends, New Super Luigi U, Wind Waker HD (though I 100%ed the Gamecube version so often, I'm a bit burnt out on it), Arkham City (if you've never played it the WiiU version is very fun, though if you have played it on another system there isn't enough to justify buying it again), Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.

Many games I didn't choose are still good, but I either haven't played them or found them to not match up with my tastes.

LEGO City Undercover is the best LEGO game ever made hands down. HIGHLY recommend.

Hyrule Warriors IS AMAZING for fanservice and is very fun if you love hack n slash. Definitely worth the purchase. Plus the DLC is so amazing.
