Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Phil Spencer: Scalebound, Crackdown, Quantum Break won't come to PC as of now (Halo MCC/5 suspiciously not mentioned)

Highly doubt those will come to pc. Some will but some won't. Gears 2, gear 3, gears: judgement, halo wars, halo odst, halo 3, halo 4, crackdown 1 and 2, fable 2, plus more never came to pc. There will still be plenty xbox one exclusives.

You are comparing different generations and different Xbox division management. This gen, Microsoft is focusing more on pc and Windows 10 support.

Hopefully they will be able to convert all those games to PC aswell. I want my XBox community to grow and be cross platform on alla exclusives :).

It's nice to see Microsoft is supporting PC more but the problem is that now there are always people in every single Xbox One exclusive video, thread, etc that say they hope it comes to PC or port beg for it to come to PC just because they don't want to buy an Xbox One.

I could see Microsoft putting games that probably won't boost hardware as much like Halo Wars 2, Fable Legends, etc on PC but I doubt they'll put the big hitter console sellers like Halo 5, Quantum Break, Scalebound, etc on PC because they need those to stay exclusive to give people a reason to buy the Xbox One.

If they just put every first party game of theirs on PC then they get rid of any reason for anyone to buy an Xbox One, so they need to keep the big hitter console sellers exclusive to the Xbox One.

But you play on console because you prefer to play on console, not because of the hardware specific exclusives. These games will remain exclusive to XBox, but MS is growing that community to be larger than anything Sony or Nintendo can match. You will not be able to play them on Steam, or Playstation or Nintendo. And the XBox gaming brand has consisted of Console+PC+Smartphone+Tablet for several years now, so this is just the next natural step.

Microsoft already said they are going to support Steam, so yes, pc gamers will be able to play these games on that platform. And of course without paying for Xbox Live.

Meaning games that don't sell well or games Microsoft believes won't sell well might come to pc. Phil said he doesn't want to bring every single exclusive. Gears 4 r halo 5 Will never be on pc. Keep dreaming and telling yourself otherwise if it makes you happy.

Where did you read that?

EDIT: I looked at planned releases for Windows on XBox.com (for example Fable, Gears, Gigantic, Killer instinct) and they specifically target Windows10, meaning they will only sell on the Windows store for the XBox app.

Think he's referring to this article: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/08/10/gamescom-2015-microsoft-not-intending-to-compete-with-steam

What I read implicit on the interview was:

"These games if successful will come to PC after enough time is given for team to port." (my paraphrase)

So I feel is a pretty bad interview for xbox fans that rely on exclusivity for bragging.
