Might be a chance that splatoon is over 100k in digital now, if it is the game is around 700k mark currently!

Going by Famitsu numbers Splatoon has 67k in digital sales, though I think I remember reading they only counted "pure digital" sales. So that means that number doesn't include the downloads from download cards, which would mean 67k in digital is just the minimum?

Currently at 667k so 333k to go, or 293k to go if we use the 100k figure from Nintendo/Famitsu 2nd Digital month :0

Oh, the holidays will certainly push it to 1m.

Sure enough, I wasn't disappointed! XD

And seeing as how it has shattered all expectations of it so far and is 2/3's the way their as we're at the beginning of September.

So I was wondering, if Splatoon is able to hit the 1 million mark before the end of the year in Japan, wouldn't that make it the first exclusive home console game in Gen 8 to reach the 1 million mark in its release year?

My God, he's right.
And to think, if this game actually does pull it off It would have been done, by a new IP. Of the least popular genre in Japan. In an era where console gaming is at an all-time low. On the worst selling console in Nintendo history....
There may be hope for console gaming in Japan yet.
