Forums - Sony Discussion - Realistically what exactly remasters could Sony bring to PS4

In terms of remastering new 1st party PS3 games onto PS4, there's no other 1st party games I'd want from Sony from looking at their list.

However, Sony third party exclusive games from last gen I would love to see a remaster of Ni No Kuni, Crisis Core FF7 (giving the same treatment as FF Type-0), and Metal Gear Solid 4 (this time without the constant downloads and load screens)

As well as many have asked for all the GoW games, that would be a nice touch. If Square can re-remaster FFX from PS2 to PS3 to PS4 then Sony can do the same for GoW.

Could they add some gameplay to it this time around?? :P

Looking at the games I actually bought for PS3, the only one that makes sense is Heavy Rain. The FPS games wouldn't be worth the effort. And even with Heavy Rain, with the story told, I don't see myself double dipping.

Heavy Rain + Beyond: Two Souls are already announced for PS4: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/06/16/heavy-rain-and-beyond-two-souls-are-coming-to-ps4/

Project Morpheus support (at least for some sequences) would be great.

I'd buy a "Ratchet&Clank Future"-collection (1080p/60 fps), Day1 if it had additional stereoscopic 3D.

it better be something a lot of players havent played before instead of games that everyone excepts.
- Siren trilogy
- Folklore
- Demon Souls

Oh, I remember now. Bring Forbidden Siren 2 to NA remastered.

They'll probably port collections and redo some nostalgia games. I mean, technically Ratchet & Clank is a remastering, even though it follows a slightly different plot to account for Qwark being the narrator. They may go this route with more games if they see fit. I'm expecting smaller gems to get the remaster treatment more than any bigger games, which will just upscale and lock the framerate.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Skyrim and Mass Effect! Those games did not run well on last gen hardware and would greatly benefit from a current gen update! Plus it's great advertising for their next gen installments! Both would benefit from smooth framerates, a resolution bump, better draw distance for Skyrim, and better loading times (those elevator rides).

Mass Effect Trilogy with all the DLC for $60
Skyrim Definitive Edition with all DLC for $40

Both get 1080p, stable 30fps

I am Iron Man

I would like to see Gran Turismo 6 on the PS4.

Legend of the Dragoon Remaster. Followed closely by Dark Cloud Remastered right before the next games in their respective series release.

SOCOM II.

Motorstorm 1. Though I'd rather Evolution moved on from #Driveclub and made a real PS4 version.

Crash Bandicoot please!
